Silicone rubber cord has a much higher resistance to high and low temperatures compared to other rubber cords. It has a non-stick, watertight surface and also performs well against weathering, ultraviolet light and ozone. It also has excellent electrical insulation properties, is WRAS / WRc approved and is suitable for food contact. Silicone rubber cord is popular for high temperature sealing across a wide range of industries and Blue is often preferred for applications where scanning equipment is used to help identify contaminated product.
